The toner replacement cartridge is easy to install and can be done in as few as 5 minutes. In IT replacing printer cartridges is a daily fact of life. Replacement Procedure
First, you do not need to turn off the printer to perform these steps. If you turn off the printer, you will run the risk of deleting any queued print jobs. When the HP LaserJet 1320 series printer runs out of toner the LCD display will indicate which cartridge is out. In my case it was the black laser toner that needed replacing. Open the door labeled with a 1 in the upper right corner. You will see a chart on the door guiding you through the process this let me know I was in the right section of the case. Remove the new cartridge from its box and remove any blue tape left on it. Next with no more than 10lbs of force remove the old cartridge from the printer. As a precaution to prevent paper jamming, use a can of compressed air to blow out any accumulated paper fibers. Then simply insert the new cartridge with no more than 10lbs of force. After replacement the HP LaserJet 1320 series printer will go through a short process of self calibration. Once complete, the printer will print any queued print jobs automatically for you.
Proper Printing Procedures
Make sure you use the proper paper stock to take advantage of the high resolution that this toner cartridge and HP Laserjet printer can provide. Using standard weight office paper, 20lb / 92 bright, will yield a blurry image because the paper cannot handle the high amount of toner required to reproduce an image on the paper. For printing promotional flyers with extra quality, I recommend at least a 60lb / 94 bright paper to get vibrant grey scale coloring. The higher weight paper is cheaper than glossy or semi-glossy stock and can be reused for other business printing needs.
