Honeywell HT-800 Table Fan - Honey of a Fan
Date of Review: Apr 12, 2009
The Bottom Line: This fan delivers value. Highly recommend
My day job involves working for a large corporation. With the economy as it is, our office building is being used to consolidate folsk from other locations. With this consolidation has come construction. There have been times when the air circulation has been less than optimal. It is then that I pull out my Honeywell HT-800 Table Fan.
I picked up the fan at my local Ace Hardware store. I've seen them other places, but this was the best deal. It cost me only $15. I was happy to see Honeywell as it is a brand I know and respect.
At about 8" across, this is the perfect fan to put under a desk where it can move the air around nicely. The fan is circular. The front side is flat. The back is domed which allows more air to be pulled through. The whole unit is only about 6" deep. This would be a great unit to sit in a windowsill.
Thie fan is designed to swivel up or down. This means I can direct the air towards myself if I really want to cool down or I can direct it elsewhere just to get the air circulating. Once the construction is done in our office, I'll be taking this home to use in my own room for cooling things down.
The Honeywell HT-800 Table Fan has three settings for high, medium and low. For my current purposes, I like low. It moves the air without causing too much noise. Even at the highest settings, the noise is not bad. This is a quiet unit.
The unit has a small handle grip built into the top near the rear. This allows me to move and reposition the fan easily, even while it is going. The on/off switch is located below the handle and is easy to access.
There are three settings: high, medium, and low. A small, hidden handle grip is built into the back/top of the fan unit and can be used for carrying the fan around easily.
Although I will not be mounting the fan, it does have the ability to mount it on a wall. I like being able to move the fan around.
The fan is easy to clean. Just unplug it and then wipe with a damp cloth.
If you are looking for a small fan that moves air in a big way, this would be a good investment.
