Wilson head band is really not for me.

Date of Review: Apr 25, 2006

The Bottom Line:  Only get this if you want the sweat out of your eyes.
Ever since I played high school football, I have always liked to exercise. I have always enjoyed the freedom it can give you.

I have only been out of high school for a year now and i find myself busy at college and seldom get as much a workout as I want. The only thing I seem to be able to do on a consistent basis is play basketball with my roommates. I love basketball and I could play it any time and love it.

One of the problems I run into is that I am always getting sweat in my eyes. I have found this annoying because it stings. It is worsened because of the amount of gel I wear in my hair in the name of style. So me and my roommates decided to put together an intramural team in basketball and we went shopping for something we could wear as a team. We went to the local Wal-Mart and searched around until we found these Wilson White Headbands. I was actually a little hesitant because it is becoming a popular trend to wear headbands in basketball, and I do my very best to avoid the most popular trends, especially when the kind of people I see wearing them are those who usually are cocky and arrogant. These people I have a hard time liking and getting along with, even though my hero LeBron James wears one (sometimes I find him a little to cocky). We went ahead and got them and yes they were the most expensive but they were also the most comfortable.

We played one game with them and although I felt awkward with it on, I was excited to see how much it helped the sweat in the eyes. Well it worked well, it retained all the sweat and that is a lot because I sweat more than your average human being. Something wasn't right though. It took me a while but I realized what it was. I like the sweat in the eyes. Sounds kinda weird I know but something about that stinging makes me feel like I am working hard and having fun. It became a habit to wipe away the sweat and the head band got in the way. The head band also was constantly irritating my head and it was always itching.

For a lot of people, I expect these are pretty useful, but for me they just aren't quite right. It will hold the sweat and make you look cool to some people, but those don't out way the disadvantages for me. Not to mention how stinky they can get if you don't wash them every single time you use them. If you are anything like me and like to exercise or play ball a certain without breaking the tradition, then you will probably not like Wilson White head bands.

Pros
Holds sweat back.

Constantly itchy, and too trendy.
